Remember that … .
We often use some with uncountable nouns in
affirmative sentences. We use any instead of
some with uncountable nouns in interrogative
and negative sentences.
There is some water in the glass.
Is there any water in the glass?
There isn’t any water in the glass.
There is much water in the glass.
There is some grass in the garden.
Is there any grass in the garden?
There isn’t any grass in the garden.
There is much grass in the garden
There is some bread on the plate.
Is there any bread on the plate?
There isn’t any bread on the plate.
There is much bread on the plate
4. Fill in some or any
There is  some  tea in the glass.
Is there any meat in the soup?
There isn’t any ice in the yard.
There is some soup in the plate.
Is there any butter in the sandwich?
There isn’t any coffee in the cup.
5. Make the sentences interrogative.
There is not any meat in the soup.
There is  not any snow in the street.
There is not any butter on the plate.
There is not any water in the glass.
There is  not any milk in the cup.
